During the pandemic, Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford UK, held Virtual Tours. A couple of sessions were invitation-only where they brought in experts to look at some of their collection. I was invited to help document the Pacific Northwest textiles they viewed.

I also organized a couple of tours for Coast Salish weavers where we could all view up-close images over Zoom and discuss what we were looking at.

One very large blanket we looked at was over 100 years old and was collected from Nanaimo. A Snuneymuxw (Nanaimo) woman said her great-grandmother used to make blankets on a very large loom. We may have been looking at one her great-grandmother made. How cool is that!
